In today’s video tutorial, we’re going to introduce you to the virtual file system on JSCAPE MFT Server and its security advantages. One thing to keep in mind is that operating system level permissions and users are totally separate from users and permissions on the JSCAPE MFT Server environment. By default, all user accounts are jailed user accounts. This means, they’re restricted to their own directory and can’t traverse above it. This is preferable from a security perspective because you want to restrict users to only what they really need to access and prohibit them from other users files and system files.
